Vaqueros and Buckaroos

I bought these just the other day and they were blue.
I glass beaded the finish off, put some salt on em and
threw em in the yard with the wet grass from the dew.
They look used now and get better by the day.
High Desert Buckaroo
These spurs were blued steel from JWP.
I took them and put 'em in an old pot on the stove
Put enough water in to cover at least 3" above the spurs
Then cover the spurs with about a cup of salt
and let the water come to a boil
Boil for about ten minutes
Remove them from the pot and let them cool in a towel to dry
You can repeat this a couple of times until you get the desired result.
